Data Protection

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25th May 2018.  You will find our policies and procedures related to Data Protection detailed on this page when they are available, and information related to additional planned documentation.  Additionally, given increasing importance of Cyber Security, this is also addressed in our policies and procedures.

The Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC) have prepared two short leaflets: Understanding GDPR for local councils and Lawful bases under GDPR, which provide a useful introduction to the subject and the key legal aspects which must be observed.
