This news item is to formally advise parishioners that following advice from East Suffolk Council regarding the legal position of PCs in respect to the ongoing Corona virus situation, we will not be holding our two annual meetings this year.  The significance of this action is that we need to provide alternative means for you to be able to scrutinise our finances for the year, and that this is being provided through the normal process via our website.  Additionally, should you have any questions or concerns related to this information, you can correspond using the website email account.

At this stage you can find the RFO's annual report in the Accounts section of the website under 19-20 Accounts/KFPC End of year accounts.  Additional documentation related to the audit etc will be added in due course.

The new Regulations came into force on Saturday 4.4.20 which apply to meetings which would have been held, up to 21.5.21.

These Regs are the Local Authorities (Corona Virus) (Flexibility of Local Authority Meetings) (England) Regulations 2020. The Regs provide that Councils do not need to hold an Annual Meeting of the PC or their Annual Parish Meeting, and that they can go beyond 1.6.20, and be held at any subsequent date up to 21.5.21.  In terms of the PC’s Annual Meeting, if it is put off, the Chairman and Vice Chairman continue in office until such time as the Council decides it is going to re-appoint.
