A14 junction 59 Kirton Interchange - essential bridge repair work

National Highways plan to carry out essential bridge repair work on the A14 junction 59 Kirton Interchange. This will ensure the bridge continues to remain in a safe and serviceable condition.  

We plan to complete this work over 2 weeks from Monday 12 February to Monday 4 March 2024. We will work between 8pm and 6am on weeknights only, weather conditions permitting. 

 Closures and diversions 

To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the south side of the Kirton Interchange roundabout and divert traffic as detailed below: 

 A14 eastbound traffic wishing to exit the junction onto Howlett Way will be diverted via the A14 eastbound to Dock Spur Roundabout and return westbound to junction 59.
